Who We Are … Our History Christ Community Church was established as a non-denominational, evangelical Christian fellowship in 2003. In 2006, we affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church of America (www.efca.org) through its Southeast District(www.sed.efca.org). We are registered as a non-profit organization with the North Carolina Secretary of State. At present, our church is comprised of people from a wide variety of spiritual and non-spiritual backgrounds who subscribe to a common “Statement of Faith” (see “What We Believe”). In the early days, our meetings were in homes, however now we hold our weekly teaching/celebration service in a storefront location at White’s Plaza in Andrews (see “When and Where We Meet”). We still use homes for prayer and small groups. Our Mission “To be Christ-centered, spiritually vibrant, missional people of Biblical integrity, passionately pursuing an eternal impact for the kingdom of God at all times and in all places.”
Our Values Care & Love: We will seek to reach out to the confused, hostile, hurt, or spiritually inquisitive in an atmosphere of care, and love, in order to introduce them to our Lord Jesus Christ, and help them be transformed by the Faith that is “once for all entrusted” to us;
Encourage & Equip: We will seek to encourage personal commitment to God's word; worship; prayer; fellowship and mission, as we strive to equip all believers toward Christian maturity;
Family Focus: We will promote and nurture a Biblical understanding of healthy families.
Flexible Methods: We will pursue our vision with flexibility and creativity.
Generosity & Partnering: We will seek to support and encourage other mission efforts which share our basic principles and vision.
Our Leadership Bo Gray is the pastor of Christ Community Church. He holds a Bachelor (B.S.) degree from the University of Florida and a Master of Divinity (M.Div) from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Prior to entering seminary, he worked fulltime in print and broadcast media. After graduate school, he was a fulltime EFCA pastor for 11 years in Florida, Virginia and Georgia.
Bo returned to the marketing communications field in 1995 and in 2003 helped plant Christ Community Church. In April 2006 he joyfully agreed to direct the mission-minded focus and Kingdom expansion efforts of CCC on a fulltime basis. As time permits, however, he continues to exercise his gifts as a freelance writer and columnist.
Happily married to Debbie since 1980, they are parents of six wonderful children.
